Sep 28, 2014#0183;#32;Has anyone used a ball screw for a lead screw on BP series 1. What are your results. Does it work good, is it solid? I have a ball screw that is new old stock I believe it is a warner and is set up for a bridgeport. I do very little machining and it is mostly 1 odd piece type work. I can use it or I can sell it and buy some other goodies.

Dec 20, 2017#0183;#32;Ball screws are required with a CNC mill. While CNC control is on the servo or stepper holds the screws tight all the time. In manual though the ball screws will move (creep) when not intended. The original acme screw has more hold on the non moving axis. So if you have ball screws you need to always tighten down the non moving axis.
